To schedule the "Learn the Guad" special with Dan Cone click here and fill out the trip inquiry form.

The emphasis of these trips will be on learning the river and techniques, so we'll see a lot of river. However, it's tough to be out there seeing fish without throwing a line! The benefit of "driving the river" is that you will see not only where to park and access the river, you will also get professional instruction on casting, effective fishing rigging and technique, and see some of the better places to fish on the Guadalupe.

A deposit of $125 is required to reserve a date, and is refundable if you cancel the trip at least 14 days in advance, if you cancel less than 14 days in advance but I am able to book another trip for that day, or in the event of unsafe water conditions.

Included in trip: land access fees, 5% local recreation tax (Guadalupe), bag lunch, tippet, weights, flies, and any needed equipment, including rods and reels. Things to bring: valid Texas fishing license, waders & wading boots (weather dependant), warm clothes, sunglasses. 5wt rods with floating line is the combination of choice, though a 4 or 6 wt will work fine.
If you need gear, please let Dan know prior to the outing.
